Good / Risk / Guilt
I do believe that people want to feel they are doing good in the world.
Some are helping tremendously, but in doing so, put their health at great risk: medical personnel and other essential workers.
Others help us all by sheltering, but now find their economic security at risk.
Others who shelter may feel little risk, and may even find it comforting to be home. But then they feel “guilty” for feeling content when others are struggling and risking so much.
Is it possible to not take risks, but still be putting good into the world?
I encourage you to think about how you can help – how you can feel you are doing good – even without putting yourself in harm’s way. It still counts as making a difference.
